Vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is often regarded as a key hormone for managing fibroids because of its potential role in regulating cell growth, reducing inflammation, and balancing hormone levels. Here’s why it is linked to fibroid management:

1. Anti-inflammatory Properties

Vitamin D3 has anti-inflammatory effects, which may help reduce the inflammation associated with the growth of uterine fibroids. Chronic inflammation can contribute to the development and progression of fibroids.

2. Regulation of Cell Growth and Apoptosis

Vitamin D3 helps regulate cell proliferation (growth) and apoptosis (programmed cell death). Since fibroids are benign tumors caused by uncontrolled growth of uterine smooth muscle cells, Vitamin D3 may slow their growth or shrink them by promoting healthy cell turnover.

3. Hormonal Modulation

Vitamin D3 influences estrogen and progesterone levels, which play a major role in the growth of fibroids. Adequate Vitamin D levels may help maintain hormonal balance and reduce the impact of these hormones on fibroid development.

4. Research Evidence

Some studies have shown that women with lower levels of Vitamin D are more likely to develop fibroids. For example:

  • In vitro studies: Research has demonstrated that Vitamin D3 can inhibit the growth of fibroid cells in a lab setting.
  • Clinical studies: Observational studies suggest that women with higher Vitamin D levels have a lower risk of fibroids.

5. Immune System Support

Vitamin D3 supports the immune system, which may help the body address abnormal tissue growth.

Practical Implications

  • Sources of Vitamin D3: It can be obtained through sun exposure, dietary sources (e.g., fatty fish, fortified foods), or supplements.
  • Consultation Required: It’s important to consult a healthcare provider before using Vitamin D3 for fibroid management to determine appropriate dosages and address individual needs.

While Vitamin D3 shows promise, more research is needed to fully understand its role in fibroid prevention and treatment. It is usually part of a holistic approach, including diet, lifestyle changes, and medical interventions if necessary.

  • Supports bone strength by directing calcium to bones and away from arteries.*
  • Promotes cardiovascular health by helping maintain healthy arterial flexibility.*
  • Encourages proper blood clotting for overall circulatory health.*

Science-Backed Exclusions

Free From

GMO ingredients are often criticized for their potential environmental impact, and some consumers worry about unknown long-term health effects, including inflammation or allergic reactions.

For individuals with celiac disease or gluten sensitivity, consuming gluten can lead to digestive distress, inflammation, and worsened hormonal imbalances.

Lactose intolerance can result in bloating, gas, and abdominal pain, while dairy itself may contribute to inflammation and hormonal imbalances in some women.

In some individuals, soy can disrupt hormonal balance, potentially exacerbating conditions like estrogen dominance or thyroid dysfunction.

These can disrupt the body’s natural hormone production, leading to side effects like mood swings, weight gain, or increased risk of certain cancers.

High sugar intake can lead to insulin resistance, weight gain, and worsening of hormonal imbalances, including polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

These may not align with vegan or plant-based diets and may carry a higher risk of contaminants like heavy metals or antibiotics.

These additives may trigger allergic reactions, migraines, or gastrointestinal discomfort, and long-term use has raised concerns about potential carcinogenic effects.

Take 2 capsules daily, preferably with a meal or as directed by your healthcare provider.

One bottle of PreventHer contains 60 capsules, providing a 30-day supply when taken as directed (2 capsules per day).
