The backpacks are packed. Calendars are filling up. Work is getting busier. Activities are starting again. Bedtimes are getting earlier, meals require a little more planning, and suddenly summer’s slower rhythm is gone.
September has a way of putting everything and everyone back on a schedule.
But there’s one question I want you to ask:
Where are YOU on that schedule?
For so many women, this season becomes another opportunity to make sure everybody else is okay.
We organize. We plan. We prepare. We remember the appointments, deadlines, groceries, practices, meetings and everything in between.
And somewhere along the way, our own health gets pushed back to when I have more time.
But DeToxer, your health cannot always be the thing that happens after everything else gets done.
This September, I want you to put yourself back on the list.
Your Wellness Routine Should Fit Your Real Life
One of the biggest mistakes we make when trying to get healthier is creating a wellness routine that lives completely separate from our actual life.
We decide we’re going to overhaul everything.
New diet. New workout. New morning routine. New supplements. New bedtime.
Then life happens.
Instead, what if your health became part of the routine you’re already rebuilding?
When breakfast happens, take your supplements.
When everyone starts winding down, protect your bedtime too.
When meals are being planned, make sure something nourishing for you is on the menu.
When activities go on the calendar, schedule your movement, appointments and moments to decompress.
Your wellness routine doesn’t have to be perfect.
It has to be livable.
But What If You’re Exhausted Before the Day Even Starts?
Here’s where this conversation goes deeper.
Sometimes difficulty maintaining a routine isn’t simply about discipline.
If you’re constantly exhausted, struggling with brain fog, experiencing irregular periods, dealing with acne or noticing weight that seems unusually difficult to manage, your body may be giving you information worth discussing with your healthcare provider.
And during PCOS Awareness Month, that’s especially important to talk about.
PCOS has historically been discussed largely through the ovaries and reproductive symptoms. But the condition can also involve metabolic and endocrine factors, including insulin resistance.
That’s why understanding the whole body matters.
At DETOX NOW, we use PMOS — Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome — in our educational approach to emphasize that broader metabolic and hormonal picture, while continuing to use PCOS in search-facing language so women looking for answers can find the conversation.
Symptoms worth paying attention to can include:
- Irregular or missed periods
- Persistent fatigue
- Difficulty managing weight
- Acne or changes in skin
- Excess facial or body hair
- Hair thinning
- Fertility challenges
- Signs associated with insulin resistance
Having one or more of these symptoms doesn’t automatically mean you have PCOS/PMOS.
But symptoms are information, and persistent changes deserve attention.
Stop Guessing About What Your Body Needs
This is one of the biggest reasons we created the BalanceHer™ System.
Women come to us at very different points in their journeys.
One woman is navigating fibroids.
Another is struggling through painful periods.
Another is dealing with endometriosis.
Another may be navigating PCOS/PMOS and ovarian cysts.
Another is entering perimenopause or menopause.
Another is recovering after surgery.
Different journeys shouldn’t automatically get the same plan.
That’s why the BalanceHer™ System offers six personalized protocol pathways designed around different women’s wellness needs.
And if you’re sitting there thinking, Okay Coach Gessie, but how do I know where to start?
That’s exactly why we created our FREE Find Your Protocol Quiz.
It gives you a simple starting point to better understand which BalanceHer™ pathway may align with your health goals.
And if you need more support, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Our FREE weekly group consultations give you an opportunity to ask questions and take the next step toward creating your Personalized Better Health Plan.
Back to School. Back to You.
You don’t have to transform your entire life this September.
Start smaller.
Put yourself back into the routine.
Listen when your body communicates.
Ask better questions.
Get support when you need it.
And build a wellness plan around your body, your goals and your real life.
Because everyone else isn’t the only one who deserves to begin this season supported.
You do too. 🩵
